MADONNA SALES SOAR AFTER LIVE EARTH
Madonna's appearance on Live Earth has seen her sales explode.
The 48 year-old headlined Saturday's (July 7) concert at Wembley Stadium.
The Daily Star reports that Tesco's combined download and in-store sales of her albums rose 420% in the week leading up to the gig.
Other acts to have benefited are Metallica with a 800% rise and Foo Fighters with a 1000% rise according to online music site Play.
Although the event hasn't done much for the environment many of the acts are reaping the rewards.
An expert told the Daily Star: "Some cynical observers might say there was more to it than just playing for a good cause."
